Use shortcuts to run command prompt utilities.

Most command prompt shortcuts like named “PING” or “IPCONFIG” do not work in Vista/XP , and even if they do, they open up and close in a flash.\par

Whoever said,” Where there is a Window, there is a way” was really smart. Right click on the desktop and click New>Create Shortcut.\par

Enter “cmd/k” followed by the program in DOS which you want to run without the quotes in the ‘Type the location of the item’ box. For example, type “cmd /k ping example.com’ to ping a server.\par

Click Next and type a suitable name for the shortcut. And thats it! Here’s the output :
