This is not that simple tricks like ‘you can use Google as a calculator’ or that ‘use ~ befor a word to know its meaning’, nope. This is some of the tricks that more than half the population of the internet doesn’t know about. Some of these are extremely handy.

- Get the local time of any place - Just type ‘what time is it’ or if you want to find out about the time of any other place just type ‘what type is it <name of the place>’ excluding the inverted commas.
- Know the status of your flight : Just type the airliner name and the flight number to see the details about it.
- Figures : Type anything like ‘how many seconds in a year’ or ’seconds in a light year’ , you won’t get ‘Sorry, no results found’.
- Comparison: You can compare items when you buy stuff online. For example, using better than as a prefix before a product shows up a product better than the one you typed.
- Cached sites: Sites gone without any notice? No fret, use the cache service of Google to get back the site just like the system restore of Windows. Type cache:abc.com
- Disable duplicated products: If you are annoyed of prompts from eBay or any other shopping site other than you are looking for, simply type -site:ebay.com or -site: abc.com after your search entry.
- Freebies: Instead of banging your head and searching something like ‘free abcdef’ to attract spam, simply use social network sites for reliable links. For example, you can use site:digg.com free wallpapers to get tested links.
- Find Music, videos and comics: Use the code to find music. -inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:”index of” +”last modified” +”parent directory” +description +size +(wma|mp3) “name of the band.” Same applies for videos and comics.
