Motorola has already tried it but due to some reason I don’t think it went that well. And another one brave enough to attempt it is O2. The pedal-powered charger will be unveiled at the O2 wireless festival starting on Jul 3rd. The bikes will be non another than BMX, Chopper and other racing bikes.
The problem is that the bike has to be fixed to the ground while charging your cellphone. Now thats a blow definitely. But there are alternatives to this. For example, why don’t you it as a gym equipment so that you can stay fit as well as charge your cellphone the greener way. Well, hopefully there is a huge market for this especially considering the alarming rates at which the global warming is increasing.
The O2 wireless festival will show many products for the greener side most of which will be made out of recycled material.
