Pioneer's Blu-ray Disc holds 400 GB with 16 Layers

Pioneer’s has pioneered over a 16 layer Blu-ray dics, which adds upto 400 GB. Yep, it takes upto 25GB a layer to reach 400GB. The technique seems to be backward compatible with the exisiting Blu-Rays.\par

Although, rumors of its backward capability are still doing the rounds. Most of the media is still abuzz about this. The possibilty of backward compatibilty lies in the modified optical mechanism. Pioneer plans to disclose the details of its research on July 13th.
