This is positively worth following. Samsung’s low-power 64GB and 128GB SSDs have gone on mass production today. Not only will they be cheap, but think about the amount of space if it were included in laptops. Two sizes of 1.8 inch and 2.5 inch will be produced and Samsung intends to reduce the size even further in the future!

According to Engadget, these SATA II SSDs are based on MLC – 64 MLCs NAND flash chips and will be cheaper compared to the present SLC based SSDs. Also, they will be faster compared to the laptop HDDs today and will have a longer life ( 20 times) than them. Read and write speeds of 90 MB/s and 70 MB/s respectively, power consumption of just 0.5 watts , there will be a major change in the industry now. All hail Samsung SSDs.
