Games Radar has tallied up the stats of the first half of the 2007 year to see who’s winning the console war in 2007 alone. Using stats from January to June, the DS is dominating with 2.7 million sales and the Wii is not far behind with 2.1 million. The Xbox 360 and PSP are tied at 1.3 million each and the PS3 trails far behind with 763,000 sales. They also got the top 10 game sales for the first half of the year and 6 of the top 10 are for Nintendo, the PS2 and 360 each getting 2 each. \tab\tab\tab\tab\tab Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony – Titans of the videogame industry and sworn enemies on the console battlefield. But which of them is winning the war in 2007?\par

As you can see the PS3 numbers look decidedly unhealthy in comparison and Nintendo is currently cutting the competition.

The highly anticipated title “Enemy territory: Quake Wars” is heading for the A-list, considering the trailer displayed at Leipzig Games Convention. The graphics are stunning and detail hungry gamers can rejoice. There is hardcore action, which doesn’t need mentioning considering the previous titles from the quake series.\par

This game is going to be a top competitor on the multiplayer gaming arena. PS3 and 360 fans will have to wait as the PC title will arrive first in October, followed by them consoles later.

After announcing the new PSP last Wednesday, Sony had told that the new PSP would be a clear winner in the handheld console segment, though it didn’t say why.\par

After waiting for nearly 72 hours, DailyTech has found out the following :\par

1. The new UMD drive has the caching feature which loads the game directly on-board.\par
\par
2. The photos captured by Joystiq revevals that the UMD caching function is the new feature of the upcoming PSP. With the new UMD caching, the game titles will load faster. The firmware used at E3 was 3.6\par
\par
3. You can charge the battery via the USB, as the previous PSP used only the USB for transferring data.\par
\par
4. Sony also announced that the new PSP battery will last for 8-10 hrs.\par
\par
The above points seems promising, lets wait and see.
